This page explains which cookies and tracking tools are used on www.fimarmobili.com, what they are for, and how you decide which ones to switch on. For how we handle your personal data more generally, see our privacy policy.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that the sites you visit save on your device and read back on your next visit. Alongside cookies there are tools that do much the same job — tracking pixels, web beacons, identifiers held in the browser’s local storage. On this page we call all of them “cookies” for simplicity, and they are all treated the same way.
Under Article 122 of Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003 and the Italian Data Protection Authority’s cookie guidelines of 10 June 2021, technical cookies may be used without consent, while every other kind requires your prior, freely given and revocable consent. Until you make a choice, the only things stored on your device are the technical cookies and the anonymous statistics cookies described below: no Google or Meta tool is loaded.
2. The categories in the banner
Necessary cookies — always active
These make the site work: they maintain your session, remember the language you chose, allow contact forms to be submitted, protect against abuse and store the choice you made on the banner. The site does not work properly without them, which is why they need no consent and cannot be switched off.

Anonymous statistics — active without consent
We measure how many people visit the site and which pages they look at using Matomo, an analytics system installed on a dedicated server and used for this site only. Under the Italian Data Protection Authority’s guidelines these cookies are treated as technical cookies and need no consent, because they are configured so that no individual can be singled out: the IP address is masked in its last two blocks before being stored, no user identifier is used, the data is not combined with other sources or with statistics from other sites, it is not passed to third parties, and the individual visits log is switched off — only aggregate statistics remain.

Statistics cookies — only with your consent
These add a more detailed analysis of browsing with third-party tools: where you arrive from, how you move between pages, which content works best. They are not used to show you advertising.

Marketing cookies — only with your consent
These measure the results of the campaigns we run on Facebook, Instagram and Google, and allow more relevant ads to be shown to you on those platforms. They involve transfers of data to the United States: the safeguards in place are described in section 6 of our privacy policy.

3. The third parties involved

- Matomo — browsing statistics on a dedicated instance managed on Fimar’s behalf, with the IP address masked and the individual visits log switched off. The data is not shared with third parties and is not used for any purpose of the provider’s own, which is why this tool may be used without consent.
Website hosting is provided by SiteGround, which processes data as a processor under Article 28 GDPR.
4. Changing or withdrawing your choice
You can change your preferences at any time, as easily as you gave them, from the Cookie preferences link, which is also at the foot of every page. When you withdraw consent for a category, the corresponding cookies already on your device are deleted and the related scripts are no longer loaded.
Your choice is kept for 6 months. After that, or if we add new tracking tools, the banner will be shown to you again.
5. Managing cookies in your browser
You can always block or delete cookies directly in your browser settings. Disabling technical cookies may, however, stop parts of the site from working.
